What credibility you have now that you have authored a book.  Congratulations!  Now you can act as your own book publicist and increase your book sales in no time.  You are now not only an author, but an authority, an expert and to some, an intellect.  People’s ears will now start to perk up around you so now is the time to use that leverage to your advantage.  Now many more doors than you could imagine will start to open for you.  One of which is being your own book publicist.


Who better to sell yourself and your book than you?  After all of the hard work you put into it, you want it to be promoted the best it can be.  Many authors are doing it and it is not at all hard like you may be thinking.


What you have now is the opportunity to enter into is a winning cycle – and stay in it.  Most authors speak to promote their books, acting as their own book publicist.  Most speakers become published to build credibility to be able to sell products, thus increasing their book sales.  Now that you are an author, you just need to become a speaker and then keep acting as both.  Wearing both hats will benefit you greatly.

  • Have the organization or corporation your are speaking for provide you with:
    • Written, audio or video testimonial/endorsement of your speaking engagement with them.
    • Introductions to at least two other organizations or corporations that would benefit from booking a speaking engagement with you.
    • The opportunity to sell your book in the back of the room.
